Sharing one of our very favorite smaller events we’ve planned and designed, however I might be somewhat biased, considering it was for my best friend!
In March of 2019 our team had the pleasure of throwing my friend Sam and her baby boy a shower at our then-studio, Zurïe Studio. Our work space at the time was primarily to house our business and for meetings, but we knew it would be the perfect white space for this event and cleared out the entire floor for her 35 person shower!
However much we love the color blue, we wanted to stray away from your typical ‘boy’ and blue baby shower. Since Sam has a strong love for tacos, margaritas (mocktails of course, during those nine months) and any kind of party in general, we paired her Fiesta with lush greens and bold colors – exactly what every fiesta needs! Especially when you’re sick of the winter months and excited to have some fun.
Her guests were treated to a build-your-own taco buffet and tons of churros for everyone to enjoy.
We went with dark, green linens so that we could pull complimenting colors from the plates on the tables – how fun is this pattern?! They also served as a strong statement on the tables, as we kept the overall decor pretty simple so they could speak for themselves. The napkins pulled the gold + orange from the plates wonderfully, and as you’ll see, the flowers really did, too!
We wanted a great focal point for the mama-to-be to open her gifts, and created a little nook in the corner of the room where all of her guests could watch what they bought for her and baby boy. Sorry, ladies – we know so many of you hate the focus at both bridal and baby showers, but you’re the star! 😉
We’re loving this newer style of modern silverware with a pop of color, and have seen it recently in so many of our friend’s rental inventory! We borrowed these fun pieces from one of our local favorites, Aiden & Grace.
No party for Sam could be complete without ice cream, and definitely another local favorite – Jeni’s!
