With us here at Events Held Dear being back on the blogging train, we’re updating a lot of our content! Not only does that mean a lot of 2019 and 2018 events (yeah, we weren’t the best at staying up to date – blogging is hard work!) but even a few from years past. We’re digging back into the 2017 archives today, sharing an intimate wedding with you that was really one of our favorites!
About Their Day
Tom and Lindsay were married in August at Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. Sometimes, golf clubs don’t always give the most amazing views, but Virtues was different! Golf greens can all start to look the same, but Virtues had some incredible views. Perched on top of a hill, it really made you feel like you weren’t in eastern Ohio! The views of rolling hills and grass were the perfect backdrop to their affair.
One of the biggest reasons their wedding was such a show-stopper, was her best friend and floral extraordinaire, Evergreen Flower Co. and their floral installations. Keep scrolling and you’ll instantly see why it’s a favorite!
Lindsay kept is simple and sweet, letting her bridesmaids pick out their own gowns to wear. Sometimes simple is best, and they did a great job matching their gowns to the overall palette!
They lucked out with some gorgeous Ohio weather, and were able to host their intimate ceremony overlooking the hills below!
Our Favorite Floral Arch!
This floral arch was seriously one of our favorites to date, and you can see the team at Evergreen Flower Co. went all out! They used their favorite blooms and made sure that the bloom to greenery ratio was out of this world! We love a good greenery arch, but the florals against the natural wooded landscape stuck out in a wonderful way.
Once the ceremony ended, guests were invited indoors for food with the space outside flipped for reception use. These white chairs from Something Old Dayton are some of our favorites! They’re minimal but cute at the same time, and you’ve probably seen us use these in a lot of our events!
At the end of the day, Tom and Lindsay kept their wedding super simple and darling, in our opinion. Flowers that wow’d, a small guest count and details that mattered. We’re all for intimate affairs, and would love to see more of them in 2020 and 2021! Cheers!
